Diverticulosis a common condition in adults. Colon sometimes
have pouches called diverticula,which poke though weak places in the colon. About half of all americans age 60 to 80 have
diverticulosis. In 10-15 percent of people with this condition these pouches get inflamed. This condition is called diverticulitis.

Most people with diverticulosis do not have any discomfort or
symptoms. Symptoms may include mild cramps, bloating and constipation. Diverticulitis on the other hand causes abdominal pain.
Diverticulitis also may cause fever, nausea, vomiting, chills and cramping. Diverticulitis will need evaluation by a physician
and treatment.
